 PicoBackup
support plugins that allows you to extend the capabilities
of PicoBackup. The Batch Command Backup plugin helps you make
backups using a customized batch command script that you write.
This
is mainly for advanced users who wish to fully customize their
backup/restore.
Example
Batch Backup Scenario:
- Run
a program that queries a database and save the output to
a folder "A" on your hard disk.
- Run
another different program that process these data in some
way and output the result to a different folder "B".
- Delete
folder "A"
- Backup
the data in folder "B".
Your script will do all the things necessary to get the data
that you wish to backup and pass it to PicoBackup, while PicoBackup
will handle the rest of the work, like scheduling, compression,
encryption, etc.
