Backup Delphi Projects

1. Run PicoBackup, then click the New button on the toolbar.

2.
Select Delphi Backup. Click Create.

3.
Enter a name for your new backup set and select the backup method to use. Click Next to proceed.

4.
Here is where you select the Delphi project (.DPR, .BDSPROJ), project group (.BPG, .BDSGROUP) or package (.DPK) that you would like to backup. PicoBackup will automatically determine the files that needs to be included in the backup (.pas, .dfm, .ddp, .res, .dof, .dsk, etc.) and display it under "Files in this project". You can also check additional Delphi related file types to backup. Click Next to proceed.

5. Select additional files that you would like to backup that are not part of the Delphi project you selected in step 4. These are files that are related to your Delphi project, but not created by Delphi, like image files, databases, etc. Click Next to proceed.

6. If you want to specifically exclude certain file types, enter it under the file mask field and click the Add Mask button. You can also exclude files with certain attributes from being included in the backup by checking the appropriate options. Click Next to proceed.

7. Select the destination where you would like the backup file to be stored. Click Next to proceed.

8.
If you want to schedule PicoBackup to run this backup set automatically at a certain time and interval, you can configure that here. Click Next to proceed.

9.
Select the amount of compression and the method of encryption to use. Click Next to proceed.

10.
Enter the file name to use for the backup file. You can also have PicoBackup add the date and time the backup was performed to the filename for easy reference. Click Next to proceed.

11.
If you want PicoBackup to run any application/command before/after performing the backup, you can configure that here. You can also have PicoBackup send you an email to notify you whenever a backup is completed. Click Finish to proceed.

Your backup set is saved and you will be returned to the main Window.
